Ever wondered how you can change a classic English breakfast into a typical desi evening snack? Of course you can, and sausage kachories are the best fusion food to prove that.
2 cups all purpose flour/maida
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon carom seeds
2 tablespoon oil
Water as required
4 chicken sausages
1 medium onion finely chopped
1 green chilli finely chopped
1 tablespoon ADF Soul ginger-garlic paste with oil
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
1 teaspoon chat masala
1 teaspoon garam masala powder
Handful of coriander leaves finely chopped
Salt to taste
2 tablespoon oil, extra for frying kachories
For making dough mix all the ingredients and kneed a stiff dough by sprinkling little water at a time. Once the dough is ready let it rest for 15-20 minutes covered with a wet cloth.
Meanwhile prepare the filling. In a pan heat 2 tablespoon oil, roughly chopp the sausages and fry them on medium heat for 2-3 minutes. Add ADF Soul ginger-garlic paste with oil and fry for 2-3 minutes more. Add salt keeping in mind that the sausages have salt too. Let the mixture cool of 5 minutes, then grind it finely. Take the mixture out in a bowl now add chopped onion, green chilli, garam masala powder, chat masala, red chilli powder and chopped coriander. Mix everything well.
Now divide the dough into 8 equal portions. Fill each portion with sausage filling, seal it well and then roll them to make small kachories. Heat oil in a deep woak or pan, now drop the kachories one by one and fry them on medium heat till they turn golden brown in colour. Take them out on a tissue paper. Serve hot with dahi or any chutney of your choice.
